Work Environment

The role of the Orthopedic Physical Therapist is based in Bonita Springs, Florida, where you will work within an interdisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes. The work setting is focused on home care, enabling you to provide therapy in patients' residences, facilitating a comfortable and familiar atmosphere for recovery. You will typically work 40 hours per week, with some variability during weekends, ensuring your schedule accommodates both patient needs and personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients with orthopedic conditions, developing tailored treatment plans that address functional limitations and disabilities.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercises, and education to enhance patient mobility and independence.
• Read and interpret diagnostic tests and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document all treatment plans, patient progress, and discharged findings meticulously, complying with regulatory standards and billing requirements.
• Provide consultation and education to patients and their families about care plans, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies.
• Participate actively in staff meetings and continue professional development through attending workshops and in-service training.
• Mentor and supervise support staff, including physical therapy assistants and aides, ensuring high-quality standards in patient care.

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work primarily with patients recovering from surgical procedures such as hip and knee replacements, as well as those suffering from musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
