Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valera Physical Therapy, you will:

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and promoting functional recovery for clients.
• Collaborate with physical therapy assistants to ensure proper implementation of care plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of client function, utilizing diagnostic and prognostic assessments related to muscles, nerves, joints, and overall mobility.
• Assess the home and rehabilitation environment, making tailored recommendations to increase clients' independence.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual exercises, massage, and the use of physical agents to enhance rehabilitation.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices as necessary, providing recommendations for modifications to enhance client functionality.
• Document client progress meticulously, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and refine treatment strategies that address each client's unique needs.
• Engage with clients and their families to provide education on therapy techniques and device usage, empowering them to take an active role in their rehabilitation.
• Supervise and provide guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants under your direction.

Patient Population / Client Focus
