Job Title: Registered Nurse - Centralized Registry Float Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS through AHA required Must-Have: Candidate must have at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2 or tertiary experience. Candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in a large hospital setting (450+ beds). Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to work in a centralized registry float role. The nurse will provide general medical and surgical nursing care. Diverse patient population with varying diagnoses, including chronic illnesses. Experience managing GI issues, infections, and neurological conditions is essential. Nurses may provide care for patients with mental health disorders. Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, and inter-professional communication. Utilization of electronic health record systems is required. Skills include management of IV therapy, wound care, and patient monitoring. Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6. The nurse will float to various medical units as needed. 12-hour shifts with weekend requirements are expected. Candidates must possess effective communication and teamwork skills. Scrubs are required in Caribbean Blue. Training includes a general hospital orientation and nursing orientation.
