This position is designed to be fully remote, affording you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while serving clients through telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through virtual consultations to evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health concerns.

• Develop comprehensive and personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs and circumstances.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment conducive to healing and personal growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Document all client interactions and treatment progress thoroughly in electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Provide education and support to clients’ family members or caregivers, helping them navigate mental health challenges effectively.
\n
• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder client recovery, employing preventive strategies and interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a diverse population of clients who come from various backgrounds and present a wide spectrum of mental health challenges—ranging from anxiety and depression to substance use disorders and familial issues. Your expertise will assist individuals, couples, families, and groups in achieving their goals of improved mental stability and emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program is required.

• Current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois is essential.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counseling Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with a strong capacity for interpersonal interactions reflecting empathy and understanding.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor is preferred.

• Experience in dealing with co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• A familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is advantageous.

• A deep understanding of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals is beneficial for coordinating care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
