Work Environment\n

This position operates on a full-time basis, with a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. While primarily remote, occasional evening shifts may be required based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for older adults, focusing on their unique challenges such as cognitive decline and physical health concerns.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the complexities of aging, ensuring a holistic approach to care.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy sessions, specifically tailored to treat geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure a seamless integration of care for each patient.

• Assist in crisis situations by offering immediate support and intervention to elderly patients experiencing mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and resources within the community.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical practice standards.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case consultations, contributing to a culture of learning and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on assisting elderly clients who are dealing with a range of mental health conditions. You will work closely with individuals who may be facing emotional challenges due to age-related transitions, chronic illnesses, or cognitive disorders. Your expertise will help in navigating their unique experiences and improving their overall psychosocial well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy is preferred.

• Strong understanding of geriatric mental health disorders along with evidence-based treatment modalities relevant to this population.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy to older adults.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a patient-centered approach and empathetic disposition.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
