Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and interviews for new clients, carefully documenting pertinent information from the first consultation through the conclusion of their treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health through evidence-based methodologies to understand their unique challenges and needs.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans that address the specific goals and circumstances of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques to foster engagement and progress among participants.

• Evaluate and monitor clients' progress regularly throughout the treatment plan, making adjustments as necessary to ensure effectiveness and relevance.

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including physicians, psychiatrists, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Follow up with healthcare providers for clients who may need inpatient care, ensuring continuity in treatment and support.

• Address and mitigate potential obstacles to recovery by identifying harmful behaviors and triggers in clients.

• Support families and primary caregivers in navigating the complexities of mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a wide range of clients dealing with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and more. The diverse makeup of our client population allows for the development of specialized treatment plans tailored to both individual and group needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counseling Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Exam (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a mental health counseling role.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR , to manage client records and treatment plans.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in treating clients with complex mental health disorders and co-occurring conditions, including addiction and underlying physical health issues.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong understanding of psychotropic medications and their implications for mental health treatment.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually , complemented by a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
