Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide weekly supervision to practicum students who are pursuing clinical licensure or are enrolled in Master's programs, offering guidance and mentorship that enhances their clinical and therapeutic skills.

• Deliver individualized psychotherapy services to a diverse clientele, including adults, couples, and families, adapting therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure a holistic approach to client care, participating in case consultations and interdisciplinary team meetings.

• Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client’s goals and therapeutic objectives.

• Maintain accurate and timely records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that client histories, session notes, and treatment plans are easily accessible and well-organized.

• Stay current with research developments, best practices in psychotherapy, and advancements in the mental health field, integrating knowledge into clinical practice to enhance client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Shelter Counseling Clinic, you will engage with a spectrum of clients facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Your role is pivotal in providing a safe, judgment-free space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and work toward their mental health goals, resulting in improved overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• A valid state license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Professional liability insurance to ensure compliance with industry standards and protection for both you and your clients.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting with demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy techniques and modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience supervising or mentoring graduate interns or practicum students, including conducting evaluations of clinical competencies.

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or others pertinent to the needs of our client population.

• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate effective remote service delivery.
