We are seeking a full-time, dedicated Mental Health Therapist with a focus on Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) to join our compassionate and skilled team at Carmona Mental Health Center. You will be working remotely but remain an integral part of our outpatient counseling team based in Bay Shore, New York.

This position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while being part of a dynamic outpatient office setting. You will have the flexibility to manage your schedule, which may include some evening and weekend hours to accommodate the availability of our clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand clients’ mental health challenges and strengths.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy leveraging evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
\n
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that set specific goals and utilize tailored interventions, ensuring client ownership and engagement in their recovery process.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure integrated care and seamless coordination.
\n
• Lead crisis intervention and safety planning efforts as necessary, maintaining client safety and well-being.
\n
• Document and maintain detailed and timely records in accordance with ethical guidelines and legal standards, using our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Facilitate psychoeducation sessions and support groups to empower clients and enhance their therapeutic journey.

Your work will directly impact individuals, couples, and families from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will engage with clients dealing with complex emotional and mental health challenges, providing support for their relationships and personal growth journeys. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited university.

• Current and active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Proficient knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and treatment approaches for diverse mental health issues.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and assessment abilities to build rapport with clients and engage with staff.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health or outpatient therapy setting is preferred, although exceptional candidates with less experience may apply.

• Experience in working with family systems and addressing relationship dynamics is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, with the potential for performance-based bonuses.
