Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Design individualized treatment plans that align with clients' goals, preferences, and specific needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) , to promote effective coping strategies.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment plans based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying informed about the latest research and therapeutic methodologies.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and effectively meeting their needs within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will primarily work with individuals affected by various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. Your interventions will support individuals from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, providing not just treatment but also a lifeline to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
