Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist

Job Description Job Description About the Role: This position is an integral part of the Thermal-Vac finance team, reporting directly to the Group Controller and working side by side with another AR/AP specialist on site, and a larger finance team across two sister companies. We are seeking a highly experienced, motivated, AR/AP Specialist who can bring their wealth of experience to help us manage additional AR/AP volume from a newly acquired business. This person should have experience with QuickBooks Online and preferred experience with the Bluestreak and JobBoss2/ECI ERP systems. This position will have a full desk managing all aspects of AR / AP for the new business. This position offers opportunity to growth both within the current position and the greater finance team. What You’ll Do: Accounts Payable: 3-way match, code, and enter invoices into QuickBooks Online, manage vendor relationships and process weekly check runs Accounts Receivable: Invoice customer out of QuickBooks Online, enter and correctly apply customer payments, research discrepancies, ensure customer accounts stay clean and follow up on any account aging Reporting & Analysis: Extract ERP data and use pivot tables and simple formulas in Excel to understand account aging and conduct AR/AP research Cash Flow Support: Help maintain and update weekly cash flow forecasts Audit Assistance: Support the Controller during annual audits Misc. Finance Team Support : Take on ad-hoc projects as needed to support the business and greater team Requirements: Strong experience in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Prior experience with Quickbooks Online in combination with another ERP system Proficiency in Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Nice to Have: Previous experience in manufacturing or Aerospace industry Familiarity with Bluestreak and JobBoss2 ERP system Prior experience with accounting Perks & Benefits: Competitive pay Opportunity for career growth across sister companies Collaborative, team-oriented environment Hybrid flexibility (occasional remote days as needed) Exposure to a hands-on and growing aerospace business Working Conditions Position is based primarily in the office with the option for occasional remote as needed. May have periodic exposure to a manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, unique smells, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts and other dangers associated with manufacturing (cutting, deburring, etc.). All locations have safety equipment and safety standards in place to help maintain a safe work environment. Working Hours Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
