Make a meaningful difference in the classroom by supporting student growth and success as a dedicated paraprofessional. This contract opportunity, located near San Carlos, CA, is a fantastic way to experience the vibrancy of an elementary school environment while working collaboratively with passionate educators. Your commitment will span the upcoming school year, with a start date of August 18 and an end date of June 10, working 30 or more hours each week, Monday through Friday.
Your contributions will include:
- Providing direct classroom support to students and assisting the lead teacher with instructional activities
- Facilitating a positive and engaging learning atmosphere for elementary-aged children
- Adapting tasks and materials to ensure all students can participate and succeed
- Supporting students with individual educational needs and helping implement specialized plans
- Promoting positive behavior and assisting with classroom management
- Collaborating closely with staff to foster a supportive and inclusive environment
Desired experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience in a paraprofessional or classroom support role, especially in elementary settings
- Effective communication skills with students, teachers, and families
- Patience, adaptability, and a caring attitude toward children
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Must be available for the full duration of the assignment and commit to the weekly schedule
This position offers a competitive pay rate of $27 per hour, reflecting the value and impact you bring to the classroom.
