Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar role in a school setting is preferred
- Ability to assist students with academic, behavioral, or physical needs under the direction of certified staff
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or Paraprofessional Certification highly desirable
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education practices is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students in classrooms, small groups, or one-on-one
- Assist with instructional activities, reinforcing lessons and concepts introduced by the teacher
- Support students with a variety of needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere
- Monitor and encourage student engagement and participation
- Aid in the implementation of behavioral interventions and strategies as directed by school staff
- Prepare classroom materials and help maintain an organized, positive learning environment
