Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Procurant is based in Atlanta and responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities. This position is responsible for identifying prospects, starting meaningful conversations and setting qualified discovery meetings and demonstrations for the sales team. The ideal candidate is a driven, resilient self-starter with prior sales experience who thrives on outbound activity and wants to grow a career in enterprise software sales within a fast-moving, high-impact team.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify and research potential leads across grocery retail, foodservice, wholesale and perishables distribution throughout North America.
• Conduct outbound prospecting through email, phone, and other channels.
• Qualify inbound leads to understand needs, determine fit and align them to the appropriate product line.
• Schedule discovery meetings and product demonstrations.
• Support trade show presence and industry events.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to refine outreach sequences, messaging and campaigns.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect activity in CRM.
• Track outreach activity against pipeline goals and consistently meet or exceed targets.
• Relay market feedback and competitive intelligence back to Sales, Marketing and Product teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2–3 years of prior sales, business development, or other sales‑related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a high volume of follow‑ups efficiently.
• Self‑motivated and goal‑driven, with a track record of setting and hitting targets.
• Resilient and persistent — undeterred by rejection and consistent in follow‑up.
• Creative and analytical, willing to experiment with new outreach strategies, measure results and adjust to improve outcomes.
• BA/BS degree in business, marketing or a related field.
• Based in the Atlanta metro area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise software sales or B2B SaaS environments.
• Knowledge of the food distribution, grocery retail, foodservice or logistics space.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and HubSpot.
• Exposure to complex, multi‑stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
