Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Periscope Physical Therapy, you will engage in a variety of essential responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' functional abilities and designing individualized treatment plans to address their needs.
• Directing and implementing therapeutic interventions to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance muscle strength.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to treatment protocols while providing mentorship and guidance.
• Documenting clinical findings, progress notes, and updating care plans in accordance with agency and state guidelines.
• Coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to refine treatment strategies based on ongoing evaluations.
• Educating clients and their families on therapy regimens and the proper use of therapeutic devices.
• Participating in case conferences with the interdisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Conducting functional assessments and utilizing community resources to support client independence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with diverse patient populations, including individuals recovering from surgeries, those managing chronic conditions, and patients requiring rehabilitation after injuries. Your ability to customize therapy programs will play a critical role in helping clients achieve their personal health goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey, with current certification in CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective treatment plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling successful engagement with clients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
