Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients referred by physicians, taking thorough assessments to establish a comprehensive understanding of their conditions.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, utilizing treatments drawn from various specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate effective communication with patients and their families to ensure they understand their treatment plans and goals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to share insights and discuss patient progress, contributing to cohesive treatment approaches.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to track patient progress and adjust treatment plans to enhance recovery outcomes.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers about rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs to extend recovery efforts.
• Achieve minimum utilization goals while maintaining high standards of care and adherence to organizational objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Deaconess, you will treat patients with orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, pediatric conditions, and athletic injuries. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in physical therapy practice.
• A current CPR certificate and the ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including word processing and data management skills.
• Ability to build rapport with patients, fostering trust and encouraging them to achieve their functional goals.
• A strong desire to engage positively with clients and contribute to community-based partnerships.

Preferred Experience

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, experience in specialized areas such as manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or pediatric therapy will be seen as advantageous. Familiarity with current evidence-based practices and rehabilitation software is also preferred, as it will contribute to enhanced patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
