Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in the Nashville Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing relationships with current and prospective clients, and expanding DWC’s presence in key commercial markets. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing and delivering presentations and proposals, collaborating with preconstruction and project teams to align services with client needs, and maintaining an active pipeline of opportunities. The Business Development Manager will attend industry events and networking functions, track market trends and competitive activity, and support the development of marketing materials and campaigns. This role actively contributes to revenue growth while upholding DWC’s values of integrity, clear communication, and long-term partnership.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and relationship management.
• Candidates should possess client-facing communication skills, including effective presentation abilities, negotiation skills, and clear written and verbal communication.
• Candidates should possess commercial construction or real estate industry knowledge, such as familiarity with preconstruction, ground-up projects, renovations, and tenant improvements.
• Candidates should possess planning and analytical skills, including pipeline management, forecasting, market research, and use of CRM or similar tools.
• Candidates should possess organizational and collaboration skills, including the ability to coordinate with internal teams and manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience in business development or account management, preferably in construction or commercial real estate.
• Ability to work on-site across the Nashville Metropolitan Area, visit client locations, and attend industry and networking events as needed.
