About the Position

Candidates must have BLS certification. Description: This position is for an Oncology Registered Nurse. The role involves working in a unit focused on patient care for those with cancer. The unit typically consists of 24 beds and a dedicated team of professionals. Staffing includes nurses, nursing assistants, and a charge nurse on each shift. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:4 or 1:5 to ensure quality care. Standard equipment utilized in this unit includes basic medical devices. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner. Candidates should be team players and willing to learn. Preferred qualifications include chemotherapy certification. Occasional procedures performed may include pelvic exams and thoracentesis. The dress code consists of navy and white attire for RNs. Weekend shifts are expected as part of the scheduling requirements. This position is a replacement for a contractor role.
