Director of Sales

*Must be based in either NYC metro, Chicago metro, or Boulder metro for a hybrid role when not traveling* Key Responsibilities Own Retail and Foodservice revenue, P&L performance, and commercial planning across revenue, margin, trade spend, and profitability. Lead annual planning (AOP) and develop the multi-channel commercial roadmap in partnership with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing. Define channel and customer priorities across grocery, mass, club, specialty, foodservice, and emerging channels. Oversee pricing strategy, trade investment, retailer JBPs, and major customer agreements. Partner with Sales leadership on account strategy, new business development, customer planning, and key negotiations. Build and scale the Foodservice channel strategy, including distributor partnerships, route-to-market, and organizational growth. Lead the commercial operating cadence, aligning cross-functional teams on forecasts, launches, trade planning, and execution. Drive forecast accuracy, commercialization readiness, broker management, and distributor performance. Coach and develop the commercial organization while planning future team growth. Present commercial strategy and business performance to executive leadership. Qualifications 8+ years of commercial leadership experience within CPG, including retail sales, sales strategy, or go-to-market leadership. Proven experience managing retail accounts across grocery, mass, club, specialty, and/or foodservice channels; refrigerated or fresh food experience preferred. Demonstrated P&L ownership with expertise in pricing, trade spend, forecasting, and commercial planning. Experience building or scaling commercial organizations, sales processes, or broker networks in a high-growth environment. Strong understanding of retail commercialization, including category reviews, JBPs, promotions, pricing, and new product launches. Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions. Proven cross-functional leadership and the ability to influence Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations. Strong people leader with excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
