The Manager of Curriculum Alignments leads Accelerate Education's curriculum alignment strategy across all content development initiatives. This position serves as the organization's subject matter expert on state and national academic standards, ensuring curriculum teams develop content using the correct standards while maintaining comprehensive alignment documentation for school partners, curriculum adoptions, and state department of education submissions.

The Manager researches and interprets evolving academic standards, develops curriculum crosswalks and alignment reports, maintains the organization's standards repository, and provides implementation guidance to curriculum development teams. Working closely with Product Management, Curriculum, Project Management, and the Manager of Curriculum Adaptations, this role ensures all standards-driven projects begin with accurate requirements and conclude with complete, submission-ready documentation. Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on state and national academic standards.
\n
• Research, source, interpret, and maintain current academic standards across all curriculum products.
\n
• Monitor standards revisions, state adoption cycles, and regulatory changes that impact curriculum.
\n
• Analyze standards and identify curriculum gaps requiring instructional remediation.
\n
• Prepare implementation guidance identifying standards that must be addressed by curriculum development teams.
\n
• Develop and maintain curriculum maps, standards crosswalks, alignment matrices, and curriculum documentation.
\n
• Maintain the organization's official repository of academic standards and alignment documentation.
\n
• Produce alignment reports and documentation for school partners, customers, curriculum adoptions, and state approval submissions.
\n
• Collaborate with the Manager of Curriculum Adaptations to ensure development teams receive complete standards requirements before projects begin.
\n
• Validate completed curriculum updates to ensure standards have been fully addressed prior to state submission.
\n
• Support curriculum audits, customer requests, and internal compliance reviews.
\n
• Develop templates, processes, and documentation standards that improve the efficiency and consistency of curriculum alignment efforts.
\n
• Recommend improvements to alignment workflows that reduce development risk and improve organizational readiness for state approvals.

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field (Master's preferred).
\n
• Five or more years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, educational publishing, standards alignment, or curriculum compliance.
\n
• Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying state academic standards.
\n
• Experience developing curriculum maps, standards crosswalks, and alignment documentation.
\n
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
\n
• Excellent written communication skills.
\n
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
\n
• Experience managing multiple curriculum initiatives simultaneously.
\n

• Experience supporting curriculum state approval or adoption submissions.
\n
• Knowledge of Quality Matters standards.
\n
• Experience with online learning platforms and LMS environments.
\n
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility requirements.

• Experience working with curriculum, product, project management, and instructional design teams.
\n
• Experience using AI-assisted curriculum research and documentation tools.
