Work Environment

As a Physical Rehabilitation Specialist at our facility, you will work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The collaborative atmosphere is designed to encourage continuous learning and teamwork among staff members. You will be joining a team comprising two skilled physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to providing top-notch care primarily to patients with private medical insurance. Our facility is equipped with advanced rehabilitation tools and resources to facilitate a hands-on approach to therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' specific needs and develop integrated care plans.
• Manage a productive caseload, seeing one patient per hour while ensuring personalized and focused treatment.
• Utilize a range of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and tailored exercise regimes to enhance patient outcomes.
• Empower patients through motivational support and education to take an active role in their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate routinely with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize interdisciplinary patient care.
• Track and document patient progress, modifying treatment strategies as necessary to ensure effective rehabilitation.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by assisting clients in improving their overall strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes adults recovering from orthopedic conditions, surgical interventions, and chronic pain issues, many of whom have private medical insurance. You will play an essential role in helping them regain independence and functionality by providing tailored rehabilitation services that address their unique needs and life circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required for this role.
• Current physical therapy license in New York State with a clean record free from any disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Proficient in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and recordkeeping.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred, as this knowledge will enhance patient interactions and treatment strategies.
• Previous involvement in team-based healthcare environments to foster collaborative patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for the Physical Rehabilitation Specialist position is competitive, with an annual salary between USD 90,000 and 100,000.
