Work Environment

This is an onsite position based in our outpatient office in Rochester, NY, where you will be working closely with a team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our practice environment is supportive, collaborative, and focused on patient-centered care. You will maintain a patient load of one individual per hour, allowing for ample time to provide personalized attention and thorough care to each patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to understand patients' conditions and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance patient performance.
• Educate patients on their conditions and the exercises needed to promote healing and prevent further injury.
• Monitor and document patients' progress meticulously, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Motivate and inspire patients through their rehabilitation process, encouraging adherence to treatment programs.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by providing guidance on exercise, wellness, and injury prevention strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, facing a range of orthopedic conditions. We cater to a diverse patient demographic, including active adults, athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, and seniors aiming to maintain their mobility and independence. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, with a strong educational background in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in New York State, with no disciplinary actions against it.
• Proficient manual therapy skills and a strong foundation in developing and implementing effective exercise regimens.
• Competency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like WebPT for managing patient information and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient clinical setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
