This full-time, onsite role offers an annual salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring function. This involves hands-on therapy techniques tailored to individual patient needs.
• Evaluate patients' functional abilities through diagnostic assessments, including muscle, nerve, and joint evaluations, to establish appropriate treatment goals.
• Utilize various therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation, ensuring a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation.
• Supervise and provide oversight to physical therapy assistants (PTAs) in delivering prescribed therapy services, ensuring adherence to the plan of care.
• Conduct home assessments when necessary to recommend modifications that encourage patient independence and success in the rehabilitation process.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans in consultation with the interdisciplinary team as necessary to meet evolving patient needs.
• Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient outcomes and collaborate with other health professionals to optimize treatment strategies.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, complying with healthcare protocols.
• Offer education to patients and families regarding therapy techniques, home exercises, and overall wellness strategies to empower them in their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, injury, or chronic pain conditions. This diverse patient population includes individuals of all ages, from athletes seeking rehabilitation post-injury to older adults recovering from joint replacements. Your role will focus on enhancing functional movement and ensuring optimal recovery through evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's condition and lifestyle.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A minimum of one year of experience in an orthopedic setting is preferred, demonstrating capabilities in assessing and treating orthopedic conditions.
• Valid physical therapist license in the state of New York or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare team members and for educating patients.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

While one year of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in outpatient orthopedic care will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a commitment to continuing education in physical therapy practices will enhance your application.
