Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, allowing for direct interaction with patients in our bustling rehabilitation center. Our team includes two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all contributing to a collaborative, supportive work atmosphere where professional development is encouraged. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify patients' specific goals, needs, and potential treatment pathways.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, providing dedicated attention to each case.
• Implement evidence-based treatment plans aimed at improving patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Develop and execute comprehensive care strategies that employ various therapeutic techniques, ensuring a personalized approach.
• Motivate and engage patients throughout the rehabilitation process, fostering a supportive environment that encourages independence.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes comprehensively to maintain meticulous records for continuity of care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to offer integrated patient care, enhancing treatment outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments, making necessary adjustments based on patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily focuses on individuals affected by orthopedic issues, including post-surgical patients, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal pain. Your expertise in physical therapy will enable you to devise tailored rehabilitation protocols that directly address physical deficits while enhancing patients' overall health and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid New York license as a Physical Therapist.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred, although candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy will also be considered.
• A clean professional record without any history of board or disciplinary actions related to licensure.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise protocols.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) software, with specific experience in WebPT being a plus.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have prior work experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating competence in managing diverse patient needs. Familiarity with injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation best practices will be highly valued. Experience in patient education and advocacy to promote healthier lifestyles will also set candidates apart.

Compensation and Benefits
