Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office, where you will work alongside a team consisting of one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and two experienced Physical Therapists dedicated to elevating the standard of care for our patients. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life dynamic while allowing ample opportunity to focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand and fulfill the specific goals and needs of each patient, ensuring tailored treatment plans.
• Manage a patient load of up to one individual per hour, allowing for focused and personalized attention.
• Provide therapeutic techniques to promote improved motion and mobility, drawing from evidence-based practices.
• Employ clinical expertise to minimize reliance on medication, identifying and utilizing non-surgical alternatives whenever possible.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans incorporating a variety of treatment strategies.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs specific to each patient's unique needs and objectives.
• Motivate and support patients through their rehabilitation journey to enhance their functional outcomes.
• Advocate for healthy lifestyle choices by improving patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient treatment.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness, track patient progress, and maintain clear, open communication.
• Accurately document all patient care services provided in compliance with legal and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will be empowered to leverage your expertise in physical therapy to foster healing and recovery among a diverse range of patients, each with unique challenges and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current New York State license to practice as a Physical Therapist, with no prior board actions or disciplinary actions against the license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, and a commitment to maintaining accurate patient records.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired, as it will enable you to integrate quickly into our clinical team.
• Experience with a variety of evidence-based treatment interventions and modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
