Work Environment

This position is onsite in our Webster facility, which is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technologies and resources to promote effective patient care. As part of a dedicated team, you will collaborate with fellow therapists and support staff to provide comprehensive treatment for our diverse patient population. Set in a busy rehabilitation environment, your standard work schedule will be Monday to Friday, with flexible hours between 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of patients to identify their needs and tailor individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to assist patients in their rehabilitation goals.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to physical therapy interns and students during their clinical practicums.
• Actively participate in clinical education initiatives, adding to the professional growth of staff and enhancing overall treatment efficacy.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care delivery.
• Document progress notes meticulously and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient performance.
• Engage in clinical research initiatives with supervision from the manager to contribute to the advancement of orthopedic physical therapy.
• Promote educational workshops and community outreach programs to enhance health awareness and prevention strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse client population includes individuals of varying ages, from pediatric to geriatric, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping patients navigate their recovery journeys and achieve meaningful improvements in their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (or equivalent qualifications).
• Currently active physical therapy license in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required.
• Demonstrable skills in performing detailed patient assessments and developing treatment strategies.
• Adept interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong relationships with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting focusing on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of current therapeutic practices and engagement in ongoing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
