Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at PerformAX, you will work in a supportive and collaborative environment within our rehabilitation facility located in Chantilly, Virginia. Our facility is designed with advanced therapeutic equipment and technology to facilitate effective patient care. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation aides, to deliver comprehensive treatment plans tailored to our patients' unique needs. The onsite nature of this role allows for hands-on engagement with your patients and fosters strong therapeutic relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment plans focusing on alleviating pain, improving muscle function, and enhancing overall physical health as per individual patient needs.
• Conduct thorough evaluations assessing muscle, nerve, and joint functions to establish effective treatment protocols.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in executing the prescribed rehabilitation plans, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
• Work in collaboration with physicians to make recommendations for adaptive equipment, prosthetics, and orthotics as required for enhancing patient independence.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately, preparing comprehensive records including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Engage with patients and their families to educate and guide them in managing their therapy programs effectively, ensuring a deeper understanding of care at home.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing valuable insights to the development and revision of care plans.
• Prioritize ongoing patient assessments to identify response to treatment and necessary adjustments to their rehabilitation strategy.
• Promote safety and injury prevention through effective patient education regarding home environments and functional capabilities.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned to achieve the organization's treatment goals and contribute to an exceptional patient experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. Each patient's care will be tailored to their individual goals and challenges, enabling personalized engagement and an improved therapeutic experience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Valid physical therapy licensure in the state of Virginia, with a commitment to maintaining licensure in good standing.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in outpatient rehabilitation.
• Current CPR certification, ensuring readiness for emergency care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effectively engaging with patients, families, and team members.
• A proactive approach to patient care, with a clear commitment to clinical excellence and quality service delivery.
• Ability to adapt treatment strategies based on ongoing assessment and patient feedback.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced outpatient rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.

• Previous mentorship experience with Physical Therapy Assistants is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
