About the Role

The Company is in search of a Head of Commercial Lines to lead the management of its diverse portfolio, including commercial multiple peril, umbrella, commercial auto, and workers' compensation. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and executing the product and pricing strategy, ensuring optimal market positioning, and leading a team to achieve profitability and performance goals. This role demands a strategic leader with a strong background in P&C insurance, particularly in commercial lines, and a proven track record in P&L management on a national scale. The Head of Commercial Lines will also be tasked with driving the development of long-term strategies, setting and monitoring key performance indicators, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Applicants for the Head of Commercial Lines position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and have at least 10 years' experience in P&C insurance or similar financial roles. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, with SaaS and SQL skills being a plus. The role calls for a leader with in-depth knowledge of insurance underwriting rules, rating systems, and product development, as well as demonstrated experience in team building and leadership. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills, and a strong focus on data-informed decision-making. Responsibilities also include partnering with product leaders, collaborating with actuarial teams, and recruiting and developing a high-performing team.
