Essential Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and executing banquet and catering menus. Lead banquet culinary operations for events ranging from intimate gatherings to large‑scale functions. Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to company standards, recipes, and quality expectations. Supervise, coach, and develop banquet cooks and stewards while fostering a positive team environment. Coordinate production schedules to ensure timely execution of all banquet functions. Monitor food quality, consistency, and portion control throughout service. Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving products. Minimize food waste and manage labor efficiently to meet financial goals. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Assist with menu development and seasonal offerings. Work collaboratively with the Banquets, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure flawless event execution. Step into restaurant culinary operations as needed to support overall hotel success. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of supervisory culinary experience, preferably in banquet or hotel operations. Previous luxury hotel or upscale catering experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of banquet production, plating, and high‑volume execution. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food cost controls, inventory management, and labor management. ServSafe Certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire). Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. What are we looking for? Compensation $50,000 – $55,000 Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
