Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs of patients navigating a cancer diagnosis, utilizing diagnostic tools like the DSM-5 for effective evaluation.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, incorporating their cultural backgrounds and specific needs into a tailored approach.
\n
• Deliver therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices that contribute to achieving desired patient outcomes, continuously adapting interventions as necessary.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment records and reports in compliance with regulatory standards and department procedures.
\n
• Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations to enhance patient care and facilitate interdepartmental collaboration.

• Implement interventions for improving patient safety and symptom management, while closely monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment strategies accordingly.

• Provide educational support and mentorship for students, interns, and junior staff within the clinical setting, helping to enhance the overall expertise of the team.

• Assist in clinical collaboration initiatives, peer-to-peer reviews, and coaching under the supervision of your clinical director to foster professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is focused on providing care to individuals and families affected by cancer. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting them through a challenging time, understanding the unique psychological stressors they face, and offering appropriate mental health interventions.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Demonstrated commitment to providing quality mental health care and continuous professional development.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working with oncology patients or in a hospice care setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience.
