Associate Director, Vaccines Retail Customer Marketing

Merck seeks an Associate Director of Marketing for its U.S. Vaccines retail pharmacy segment. This strategic role focuses on developing and executing marketing initiatives to drive adult vaccine adoption in retail pharmacy, working cross-functionally with brand, sales, and customer teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary liaison between brand and retail pharmacy teams to ensure strategic alignment and growth
- Develop pharmacy segmentation strategies and annual promotional plans aligned to brand objectives
- Lead customer engagement meetings to identify needs and develop innovative solutions with account executives
- Create and manage content and resources for field teams to support sales efforts and product utilization
- Oversee end-to-end project execution including medical-legal reviews, service agreements, and compliance requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field; MBA or Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years healthcare, pharmaceutical, or vaccine industry experience in sales, marketing, or related roles
- Strategic thinking, innovative mindset, and results-oriented approach
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Knowledge of healthcare trends, managed care, and retail pharmacy landscape
- Project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Willingness to travel 10-20% annually
