Work Environment

This position will be situated in our onsite rehabilitation facility, where you will collaborate with a close-knit team of fellow physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). The work environment is dynamic and supportive, with a focus on continuous learning and innovative therapies. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, creating a consistent rhythm that allows for optimal patient engagement and therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and understand patient objectives, needs, and medical histories to provide individualized treatment.
• Manage a structured caseload of patients, ensuring one-on-one attention for each client during appointed sessions.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to create and implement comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate manual therapy, exercise therapy, and various rehabilitation techniques.
• Promote non-surgical treatment methodologies aimed at increasing patients' mobility and reducing reliance on medication.
• Design and propose customized fitness and wellness programs that align with the goals and needs of each patient.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, helping them to optimize their functions effectively.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all treatment and progress using EMR software, with a particular emphasis on WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients seeking rehabilitation from orthopedic issues and sports-related injuries. You will serve a diverse clientele ranging from active individuals to those recovering from surgical procedures. By employing a tailored approach, you will directly impact their recovery processes, preparing them for a return to their daily activities with renewed confidence and strength.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current and valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficient skills in manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, ideally treating sports medicine patients.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trusting relationships with patients.
• A proactive approach to patient care that embraces innovation and best practices in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, dependent on your experience and qualifications. In addition to a generous base salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that supports your health, well-being, and work-life balance, including:
