WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT * Assist department leadership with the coordination of essential HIM functions and workflows. * Assist with process improvement and standardization of HIM workflow. * Conduct quality reviews for focused studies related to accreditation requirements. * Monitor work queues and manage system issues. * Perform HIM essential functions and workflow duties, as needed, in the department. * Serve as subject matter expert on essential HIM functions and workflows. * Answer inquiries from departments regarding the HIM system and resolve issues or escalate, as appropriate. * Participate in the planning and testing of new systems and upgrades. * Flexible work location onsite at one of our Franciscan locations: Indianapolis IN, Hammond IN, Lafayette IN QUALIFICATIONS * Required Associate's Degree Health Information Management * 2 years Healthcare setting Preferred * Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) required TRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Never or Rarely JOB RANGE: HIM Coordinator $16.50-$23.25 INCENTIVE: Not Applicable EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER It is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.
