Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine the most effective, individualized treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health.

• Provide a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and support their healing journeys.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and professional development focused on trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on treating individuals affected by trauma, including but not limited to those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role will allow you to utilize your skills in a meaningful way, providing critical support and guidance as patients navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a strong emphasis on trauma-focused care.

• Knowledge: Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

• Team Orientation: Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, we encourage applicants with extensive backgrounds in trauma therapy or specialized training in evidence-based interventions like EMDR and TF-CBT to apply.
