Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Rockwell Psychotherapy, you will be responsible for the following:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique recovery journey and resilience-building needs.

• Utilize advanced therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Deliver engaging individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote personal growth.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for our patients.

• Provide critical crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely assistance.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower them throughout their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will engage with a diverse client base that may include adults, adolescents, and families, implementing evidence-based strategies to help them navigate their recovery journeys. As part of a trauma-informed care approach, you will help clients identify and overcome barriers to their mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and an understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building principles.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
