Accounting Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations for a division of our growing family of coordinated transportation companies. This role will be responsible for managing the general ledger, supervising the close process, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role supports financial planning, budgeting, audits, and process improvements to help achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in Sage Intacct.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including:
• General ledger maintenance
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Month-end and year-end close process
• Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close in Sage Intacct
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies
• Monitor and report cash flow including preparation of weekly cash forecasts
• Prepare account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Experience in multi-location or multi-entity healthcare environments
• Experience in PE backed company a plus
