Work Environment

Our facility in Matawan is designed to provide an optimal rehabilitation experience. You will be working on-site in well-equipped treatment rooms and have access to advanced rehabilitation technology. The facility is open Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to the New Jersey State Practice Act, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining ethical standards set forth by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Conduct thorough evaluations of assigned patients to establish individualized treatment goals and programs based on their unique needs and conditions.
• Implement comprehensive, goal-directed treatment regimens aimed at maximizing patient recovery and functional abilities, using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and other therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care plans and treatment strategies.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress in alignment with organizational standards and maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and share insights with colleagues as part of a continuous learning culture.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily serve a diverse range of patients, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. You will utilize your expertise to assess various musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions, tailoring your approach to meet the specific needs of each age group. Your ability to interpret clinical data and respond to patients' requirements effectively will be critical in facilitating optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in providing physical therapy services, demonstrating proficiency in diverse treatment settings.
• Familiarity with orthopedic rehabilitation and effective knowledge of assessment techniques, intervention strategies, and outcome evaluation.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate treatment plans and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a rehabilitation facility and knowledge of therapeutic modalities, manual therapy, and functional movement assessments is preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems will be beneficial in maintaining documentation standards.
