Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' mental health, assessing the intensity, frequency, and impact of mood disorder symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to promote positive mental health outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance their understanding and involvement in the therapeutic process.

• Regularly monitor and track client progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal effectiveness of therapy.

• Engage with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to provide integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and innovative practices related to mood disorders to continuously improve therapeutic strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Oasis of Serenity Healthcare, you will primarily work with individuals and families affected by mood disorders, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder. Our clientele includes diverse populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, requiring sensitivity and adaptability in your therapeutic approach.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
