Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• LBS1 endorsement in Illinois
• Previous experience in special education environments (preferred)
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with students, families, and fellow educators
• Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support to students in a resource setting for grades 6th to 8th
• Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers and support staff
• Track student performance and maintain accurate documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development
• Foster a nurturing, positive classroom environment that promotes inclusivity and learning
