Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students by working as an Ed Tech I paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near Scarborough, ME, with placement in nearby Portland. This contract role offers consistent daytime hours, working approximately 30 hours per week from 7:20 AM to 2:10 PM, with early release on Wednesdays at 1:10 PM. This assignment runs through June 11, 2027, providing stability and an extended experience working alongside dedicated educators and students.

Candidates should be passionate about making a positive impact and bringing flexibility, patience, and dedication to their daily work. Ed Tech I certification is required, but if you don’t have it yet, you may apply and complete certification as part of onboarding.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Ed Tech I certification or willingness to complete certification upon hire.
• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in similar support roles, especially within self-contained or life skills classrooms.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and school staff.
• Flexibility, compassion, and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to assist students with a variety of educational and daily living tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students’ instructional and personal development under teacher guidance in both group and one-on-one settings.
• Implement strategies to encourage student engagement, independence, and progress toward IEP goals.
• Provide hands-on assistance with classroom activities, transitions, and mobility as needed.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for all learners.
• Maintain accurate records of student participation and progress as required.

This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $21–$25, reflecting your experience and commitment.
