Key Responsibilities

As an Onsite Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Administering comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical capabilities and limitations, ensuring tailored treatment plans.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as traction and massage to alleviate pain and enhance physical function.
• Supervising physical therapy assistants to guarantee adherence to the established plan of care, providing guidance and support as required.
• Conducting regular evaluations and re-assessments to monitor progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team in case conferences to discuss patient progress and develop integrated care strategies.
• Generating and maintaining accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educating patients and their families about treatment protocols, exercises, and the use of assistive devices to foster independence in daily activities.
• Engaging with clients in the community environment, assessing home setups to optimize rehabilitation outcomes and suggesting modifications where needed.
• Participating in ongoing training and education to stay current with advances in physical therapy practices, particularly within the orthopedic specialty.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with diverse populations, including older adults, athletes, and post-operative patients, ensuring that care is tailored to their physical and emotional needs. By providing targeted treatments, you will contribute to significant improvements in their mobility, pain management, and overall rehabilitation experience.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current active PT licensure in New Jersey.
• Certification in CPR and basic life support.
• A passion for delivering high-quality patient care with a commitment to clinical excellence.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective engagement with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are considered advantageous:

Compensation and Benefits
