Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations of clients to identify their mental health needs, ensuring comprehensive appraisals are tailored to each individual's circumstances.

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist clients with various mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, and addiction issues.

• Facilitate effective group therapy sessions, such as support groups or psychoeducational workshops, to promote peer support and education on mental health topics.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that align with clients' specific goals, using measurable objectives to track progress and adapt strategies as necessary.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention services when clients are in distress, conducting risk assessments and if necessary, coordinating with emergency services for comprehensive support.

• Engage in continuous learning through training and professional development to remain abreast of current practices and innovations in psychology and counseling.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create a holistic care approach for clients.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field obtained from a recognized and accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of Florida, which includes meeting all state requirements such as passing relevant exams and completing a specific number of supervised clinical hours.

• Minimum of three years of post-graduate supervised clinical experience as mandated by state regulations, demonstrating a strong foundation in counseling practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
