Grants Specialist / Research Services Coordinator (RSC) Job Description Experience: Mid Level Salary: $40 - $65 per hour Job Details The Healthcare industry is seeking an experienced Consulting Copy of Administrative Grants Specialist / Research Services Coordinator (RSC) to provide analytical, financial and training support in the development of contract and grant proposals, grant-writing, funding, administration, and budget development. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and identifying proposals, contracts and other agreements, ensuring institutional compliance and program success. The RSC will be the primary point of contact for external sponsors, RMS Award Specialists and Associates. Responsibilities Develop and manage the proposal process to ensure timely, compliant and accurate submissions. Interpret sponsor requirements and provide strategic advice. Ensure that proposals meet sponsor, UCSF pre-award guidelines and regulations. Act as the institutional representative through the life of the award. Promote a collaborative model of stewardship among faculty and staff. Develop and oversee research proposals, awards and transactions related to contract and grant management. Maintain contract and grant records in compliance with institutional research sponsor policies. Work on complex proposals and awards that may involve multiple investigators and / or multiple sub awards. Guide less experienced staff. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. Familiarity with Pre-Award Research Administration, Budget Development, and Proposal submission. Experience with National Institutes of Health (NIH) applications. In-depth understanding of the professional field and the ability to apply theory into practice. Knowledge of analyzing research funding trends and sources, forecasting, planning, and managing of research portfolios. Experience with negotiating, administering and monitoring contract and grant awards. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
