Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Create and implement customized treatment plans that align with each client's individual needs, therapeutic goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), during client sessions.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their healing journeys.

• Continuously monitor client progress, revising treatment approaches as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will be working closely with a diverse population of clients facing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. A significant portion of our clientele includes vulnerable groups such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Therefore, experience in trauma-informed care and an ability to engage with these populations empathetically is essential.

• Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
