Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to implement effective treatment strategies.

• Educate and support clients and their families regarding mental health challenges, emphasizing mood disorders and treatment options.

• Monitor and document client progress, regularly updating treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.

• Engage in continued professional development and case consultations to enhance treatment approaches and stay informed about developments in mood disorder therapies.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs within the community, working to reduce stigma around mental illness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals struggling with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, as well as those needing support from difficult circumstances such as homelessness, domestic abuse, or refugee status. This role allows you to make a tangible difference as you guide clients toward healing and stability.

Qualifications\n

• Active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
