Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AMFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific procedures, front desk protocols, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location. Monitor visitor access at the front desk by greeting guests, verifying identification, issuing access credentials, and communicating entry procedures in accordance with site policies. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and notifying appropriate personnel as needed. Answer phones, manage inquiries, and support employees, contractors, and visitors with directions, check‑in processes, and other front desk‑related assistance. Observe lobby and reception areas for suspicious, unauthorized, and/or unusual activity and report concerns to help support security‑related operations. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
