Located in Commack, New York, our regionally acknowledged Community Health Clinic operates with a primarily remote work model, allowing counselors the flexibility to reach clients in comfort while maintaining professional standards. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and assessments during initial consultations to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Create individualized and group intervention strategies based on each client's unique needs and specific clinical diagnosis.
\n
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based modalities to facilitate healing and improve mental wellness.
\n
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective therapy outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals, to provide comprehensive care.

• Participate in case reviews and consultations with psychiatrists to optimize the treatment and recovery processes for clients.

• Educate clients and their families on managing and coping with mental health challenges to promote recovery and prevent relapses.

• Document all client interactions accurately in electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position serves a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and various behavioral health challenges. Our counselors are expected to adapt their therapeutic styles to meet the unique cultural and personal circumstances of each client while fostering a safe and empathetic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold a current and valid mental health licensure as either an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Exam (NCMHCE) is necessary.

• An in-depth understanding of the therapeutic practices defined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is essential.

• Proficient use of electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to document client interactions and therapy sessions effectively.

• A strong foundation in treating patients with co-occurring disorders, including substance use issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000.
