Human Resources Coordinator

Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $55,000.00 Annually Position Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role administers employee health, welfare, occupational injury plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. The Human Resources Coordinator makes that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. Essential Job Functions: Administers health plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Administers occupational injury plans, including documenting events and following through the entire cycle with employees full back to work release. Keeps up with OSHA reporting requirements. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Maintaining both hard and digital copies of employees’ records. Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, preforming reference checks and issuing employment offer letters. Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action. Assists with processing of terminations including processing cobra for eligible employees. Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions. Assists or prepares correspondence as requested. Prepares new-employee files. Processes mail including bills related to employee injuries and/or accidents. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Position Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: Related field and/or equivalent experience. Entry-level experience Physical and Other Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Able to walk to and from the warehouse facility when needed. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
