Legal Admin (Temp)
Location: Port Washington, NY (Full-Time Onsite) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Hourly Rate: $35–40/hour, dependent on experience
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support Corporate Counsel. This role will focus on contract administration, legal document management, and coordination of communications across internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer customer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and related legal documents
- Review, draft, edit, amend, and proofread legal documentation and correspondence
- Track and log contract status to ensure timely processing and completion
- Prioritize and route incoming emails and communications to appropriate parties
- Monitor deadlines and provide regular updates to Corporate Counsel on contract progress
- Create, organize, and maintain legal files, project folders, and supporting documentation
- Maintain both physical and electronic filing systems for efficiency and accuracy
- Manage legal communications with internal teams and external clients
- Answer and direct phone calls; take messages as needed
- Handle distribution of documents via mail, fax, email, and electronic upload
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a legal administrative or contract administration role
- Strong understanding of legal documents and contract processes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
