This full-time position, based in Jersey City, New Jersey, offers a remote work setting, allowing you to provide valuable support to clients from the comfort of your own home. As a vital member of our clinical team, you will specialize in addressing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related challenges.

Work Environment\n

This position allows for flexibility through a fully remote work arrangement, enhancing your work-life balance while enabling you to reach clients who benefit from our services. You will engage in a collaborative virtual environment, making use of teletherapy platforms and digital communication tools to effectively connect with clients. Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend shifts on a rotational basis to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, determining the severity, frequency, and duration of their conditions.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting personal goals that are tailored to their specific mental health needs and preferences.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders effectively.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorder challenges, treatment options, and strategies for self-care.
\n
• Monitor and document clients’ progress during treatment sessions, making adjustments to care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Stay informed of the latest advancements and research in mental health therapy, particularly related to mood disorders, to continuously enhance treatment methodologies.

• Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans meticulously, adhering to ethical and legal standards while maintaining confidentiality.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to share best practices, discuss challenges, and collaborate on complex cases.

• Serve as a compassionate advocate for clients, aiming to reduce stigma around mental health and promote a deeper understanding of mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will primarily consist of individuals experiencing mood disorders ranging from mild to severe. This role requires a strong empathetic approach, as clients may face significant challenges in their daily lives. You will work to create a trusting environment that encourages clients to engage openly in their therapeutic journeys, focusing on tailored interventions that facilitate lasting change and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Demonstrated success in creating meaningful therapeutic relationships and achieving positive outcomes with clients.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to relate to diverse populations and foster rapport.

Preferred Experience\n

• Aminimum of two years of post-licensure experience in providing therapy focused on mood disorders is highly regarded.
