Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.What you’ll doManage end-to-end accounting closeAccountable for ensuring timely close across all global entitiesMaintain accurate supporting documentation and reconciliationsReview the accuracy and completeness of expenses, including developing a robust accrual processPrepare intercompany journal entries in compliance with intercompany agreementsPrepare consolidation entries (revaluation, translation, and eliminations)Assist with the preparation of the monthly reporting package including period-over-period analysisOversee daily accounting operationsManage the proper coding of vendor bills, corporate credit cards, and employee reimbursementsOversee timely application of global cash within the ERPCoordinate with payroll to review payroll journal entries and ensure all required payroll taxes are paidLead audit readiness effortsCoordinate with external auditors for timely submission of all required requests (Global Audit and Local Statutory Audits)Drive Finance Transformation initiatives to leverage AI and tooling at scaleEnhance or upgrade our tech stack to enable the latest in AI technologyChallenge our processes and develop an AI-first approachWhat you'll bring5-10 years of experience with a mix of public (highly regulated) and private (hyper growth) companiesProficient in US GAAP (revenue recognition, lease accounting, stock-based compensation, etc.)Ability to identify areas for improvement and build solutions using AIDesire to drive operational efficiency to scale the accounting functionA structured, self-directed, detail-oriented builder and problem solver who can design a process where none exists, run it, and improve it over time without being managed toward it.
